  • Orthopedic surgeon and owner of ICONE Clinic For Orthopedics and Sports Traumatology
  • He trained in Leyden – Haarlem and Amsterdam to become an orthopedic surgeon in 1994
  • He performed research in Florida with Prof Scott A Banks and was research fellow at the Orthopedic Research Center in West Palm Beach Florida for the period 1995 -2000.
  • He performed his Ph D thesis in Nijmegen in 2000 under supervisor of Prof Rik Huiskes on the subject of Computer Assisted Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction .
  • Burt Klos is member of many orthopedic societies and currently member of the Executive board of EFOST .
  • He is reviewer for the Arthroscopy Journal and the Knee Surgery Sport Traumatology and Arthroscopy journal.
  • He was former president of the Dutch Arthroscopy Society and member at large of ESSKA .
  • In 1995 he was selected to become one of the first traveling fellows for ESSKA visiting In Asia , New Zealand and Australia .
